Enticing aromas of blueberry, mocha dust and dark red plum introduce this alluring wine. Raspberry flavors mingle with coffee bean and cassis on a round, and supple, mid-palate. Finely integrated tannins support a long and lingering finish, accented by delicate hints of white pepper, cinnamon and clove.
Duel Distinction
Grown from four designated blocks on the Darioush estate, Duel is the idyllic marriage of two distinguished varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The finished wine offers unique attributes of both varietals; a rich chocolate core and earthy minerality is lent by Cabernet Sauvignon, while Shiraz reveals its inherent exotic spice and ripe red fruit.
Approachable in its youth, Duel will continue to age superbly for several years.
